James Broad, the founder of Strutos, grew up in the second generation of a family business in the fenestration industry.
On job sites from a young age, in the office after school, and fitting windows through weekends and holidays as a teenager, he learned the trade from the inside out.
He then chose software over fitting, took a computer science degree, and worked at companies including Yahoo and the BBC before co-founding a care-sector software company that was later acquired. That gave him the chance to return to his roots and apply everything he'd learned in software and business to a trade he loves.
We launched Strutos in late 2024. Since then we've grown steadily, one fitting company at a time, as word spreads that there's finally a system that gets it. We're still early, still hungry, and still building alongside the businesses who use us every day.
